BELGRADE (Serbia), May 10 (SeeNews) - Coca-Cola HBC Serbia commissioned a 5 million euro ($5.3 million) water bottling plant in Neresnica, eastern Serbia, the government said on Tuesday.

The factory, with a workforce of 50 employees, will bottle carbonated water under the Rosa Homolje brand, the Serbian government said in a press release.

Coca-Cola HBC Serbia brings quality, new markets and export growth wherever it comes, Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic said during the launch ceremony.

The transaction represents the fourth major acquisition of Coca-Cola in Serbia where the company employs 1,700 people, the general director of Coca-Cola HBC Serbia and Montenegro, Svetoslav Atanasov, said, according to the press release.

Coca-Cola HBC Serbia started the bottling of Rosa Homolje carbonated water at the factory in April. The company completed the acquisition of the Neresnica factory from local firm Andjelkovic al in November last year.
